Dreadful Day by Kanwal Umar

I rushed towards the station as I was already running late for work. I got hold of the CEO after weeks of hard work to present my design, and if the board approved them I was likely to have a chance of permanency. Excited and Nervous.

Changing trams had been a hassle for me lately, specially at off time. As it reached the last stop I walked towards the door. The door unlocked, as soon I moved out bumppppp…… I had coffee all over my white shirt.

“What the Hell?” I shouted, still and shocked. Meanwhile, the tram horned and ran along the road.

“I am so sorry! I was in a bit rush. Hope you’re okay.” An attractive masculine voice had my all attention towards him.

He wore a black suit. However he got more than I looked. His rich chocolate hair that had tousled griminess which promised finesse. He had strong arched brows and eye lashes so thick, it could be illegal. And then his eyes were deep and catastrophic, a vivid baby blue as a great body of water that softly melted into a milky green. This close, I could see the flecks of silver in his eyes. He had distinct cheekbones and an angular jaw, his pale skin made him look devilish handsome.

“Yeah I am okay. I had a presentation and this is how I look now.” I was about to burst in tears.

“I actually didn’t mean to. I hope your boss doesn’t gets pissed.” He smiled.

“Ha! The damage has been done. No need to worry. You miss your tram.” while I wiped the coffee off my shirt he stood there guilty.

“Yeah looks like I have to attend the boring board meeting.” He rolled his eyes. I walked towards the exit.

“Hey! sorry!” He shouted. But i didn’t bother to turn back.

As soon as i reached office I exchanged shirt with Sally. I was prepared about my design and ready to set off. Meanwhile, the members of board walked in. I could see a demon, who just spilled coffee on me, standing with them giving me a sarcastic smile.
